Laying flat eliminated the excuciating headache, but then if i stood too long, I'd get foggy headed and the pump area would swell so much the skin was at max expansion. Then I went to the doctor who will monitor my pump, Dr. Ruben, and he told me to wear a gurdle (or abdominal binder) to prevent the swelling which will prevent the fogginess. Now I'm 100%!
I love that doctor... so thorough, caring, and on time! It's pretty incredible; he just has me hold this little plate over the pump, which attached to a computer he's holding, and he changes the dosage just like that. He's in regular communication with my physical and occupational therapists at Summit Rehab, so we can work as a team.
I went for a walk yesterday and was thinking I can't wait for my right leg to be willing to bend! Unfortunately I have to be patient. It may be a couple months before I see a real difference because we know from the test dose I will need a large amount. And it's potent stuff so we have to increase gradually to let the body get used to it. But it's like waiting for Christmas!
